The Voice Audition

Hey there! How goes it? Swell? Nice. SO. I’m sure you’re wondering how my virtual audition for The Voice went! Well, I’d love to tell you that it went fantastic and that I made it through; however, I would be lying. I would also be lying if I told you that my audition happened at all.....because it didn’t! About two days before I was supposed to give an audition I received an email from the casting directors explaining that due to recent events (I’m assuming due to protests going on around the country) the audition would have to be rescheduled. Luckily, I was given a forsure date and time for my next shot. June 25 is now the new date. I actually scheduled to be in the studio with Mike (my producer) that day so I should be warmed up and ready to go by the time I have to sing for them! I wasn’t too shocked when it got rescheduled, but I also wasn’t too upset either. I look at it as an opportunity to just practice more and be more prepared. I’m still planning on singing Panic! at the Disco’s version of The Greatest Show, but besides the audition date nothing has changed.

Aside all that, I recently confirmed a very important set of dates in July for when I am to scope out the Nashville area to move there! Woohoo!!! The second week of July I will be going down to check out potential areas to live! Although I will not be moving until Mike and I are done with this album, I want to take advantage of the time I have to prepare the move. There’s much preparation going on lately! I’ll be down there for a week looking at apartments as well as just getting to know the area a little better. I am seriously getting so excited to start this next part of my life and musical journey. I know I have a lot of people’s support and I very much appreciate it...because I’ll need it!

Amidst all the traveling and rescheduling of certain events, my gigs have been majorly affected. Currently, I only have one gig scheduled as the majority of them have been cancelled and/or are indefinitely rescheduled. That one gig is at The Casual Pint in Youngstown on July 31. I’m in the process of contacting more venues as they begin to open back up and accept live musicians. I’m very ready to get back up on stages and perform and go out to different venues. Check my website and social media accounts for live event updates as they are scheduled!

That’s what I have for you all today! I hope you all are doing very well in adventures....whatever they may be! See you next week!
