Oh hey!

Thanks for stopping by for another BIWEEKLY blog post 😁. If you didn’t read the last post, then allow me to fill you in. Blog posts are now biweekly as opposed to weekly. This is pretty much because I don’t have enough going on outside of social media that people don’t already know about, so I don’t want to keep repeating myself. ANYWAY.

Today I want to talk about my sound as an artist. After hearing my first album, people have a pretty solid idea of what I do, how I write, and what sounds to expect. HOWEVER, the album only contains eight songs; I’ve barely given everyone a taste. Although my style is very pop rock oriented, there is sooooooo much more that I’m wanting to add. Even before my album was done being produced, I was thinking ahead to what I wanted to create next and how I wanted to be perceived. I’m still working out the details…but I believe I’m on a great path for development and originality. What makes me feel even more free and ready to change my style is the fact that I’ve already been through the major processes once. I’m talking about recording, writing, producing, etc. I feel as though the first major project for anybody is always the most grueling and confusing. This absolutely applies to the album process I went through. I hadn’t recorded a full album before, I had never developed an overarching theme for a big list of tracks, I was still deciding how I wanted to sound, and I could continue on. Because I’ve already been through the process once, I feel like there is a huge space for creativity waiting to be used. I won’t have as big of a list of unknowns during the writing/recording process and I’ll be able to focus more on the creative aspects of everything. I also think changing things up is a very necessary step for artists nowadays. The music landscape is unbelievably saturated and to stand out it’s pretty important to introduce fans to something fresh. Obviously, I don’t want to hint to anything too much about what is to come…..especially because I’m not even sure yet. All I can say is that I’m excited as hell for what’s coming.
